Benny Hernes, ein israelischer Polizist und Siedler und Adnan Joulani, ein palästinensischer Journalist lernten sich vor einigen Jahren auf einem Friedenscamp in Tokio kennen. In "Behind Enemy Lines" begeben sie sich auf eine Reise durch das wegen der neu entflammten Intifada gebeutelte Land. Gemeinsam besuchen sie symbolische Orte wie das Flüchtlingslager in Jenin oder den Tempelberg und versuchen die je eigene Perspektive auf den Konflikt verständlich zu machen. Der Versuch einer Kommunikation über alle Barrieren hinweg.

Dieser Film wird zusammen mit Sleeping with the Enemy und Wailing Walls gezeigt.



Benny Hernes, an Israeli police officer and settler and Adnan Joulani, a Palestinian journalist got to know each other at a peace camp in Tokyo several years ago. In "Behind Enemy Lines" they travel through a country that is shattered by the Intifada. Together they visit symbolic places of the conflict like the refugee camp in Jenin or the Temple Mount and try to impart their perspective of the conflict to each other. The attempt of communication across all barriers.

This film will be screened with Sleeping with the Enemy and Wailing Walls.
