Selbst wenn im gewalttätigen Konflikt zwischen Israel und Palästina kein Ende absehbar ist, gibt es doch vermehrt viel versprechende Initiativen innerhalb der Zivilgesellschaft: Friedenscamps für Juden und Palästinenser sowie auch viele Psychologen und Psychiater, die sowohl Kinder als auch Erwachsene in den betroffenen Gebieten betreuen. Naher Osten ­ Hoffnung und Trauma der Jugend begleitet ein solches Friedenscamp in Österreich und im zweiten Teil Jüdische und Palästinensische Psychiater, immer auf der Suche, die psychologischen Aspekte dieses Konflikts zu verstehen.



Even if in the violent conflict between Israel and Palestine there seems to be no end in sight, there are, on the level of civil society, more and more promising initiatives: peace camps with Jewish and Palestinian adolescents as well as numerous child- and adolescents psychologists and psychiatrist in all parts of Israel and Palestine. The film accompanies a peacecamp in Austria and in the second part follows Jewish and Palestinian psychiatrists trying to understand the inner psychological aspects of this conflict.
