Piotr ist ein junger Jude, der bis zu seinem zehnten Lebensjahr bei seiner
Großmutter Mancika in Budapest aufwuchs. Die alte Dame wollte
unbedingt ihre Bibliothek, die sie aus Krakau mitgebracht hatte, wieder
zusammenstellen und vor allem das Buch „Die Silberkrone“, mit dem
Rabbi Levi Tote zum Leben erwecken konnte, wieder finden. Fünfzehn
Jahre später begegnet Piotr, der nun in Krakau lebt, einer ungarischen
Studentin namens Eszter, die das gesuchte Werk in einem Antiquariat
erworben hat. Csoda Krakkóban ist der erste Spielfilm der 1973 in Budapest geborenen Regisseurin Diana Groó.

Piotr is a young Jewish man who was brought up by his beloved grandmother Mancika in Budapest. The old lady desperately tried to restore her library, the books which had been taken from Cracow and disappeared during the war. She was especially keen to find the book „The Silver Crown“ by Rabbi Levi who had the power to raise the dead. After the death of Mancika, Piotr has been taken to Cracow, where he makes a living as a bookseller. One day, Piotr meets Eszter, a young Hungarian student, who has bought that very special book. A Miracle in Cracow is Diana Groó’s (born in 1973 in Budapest) first feature film.
