Der Vater der kleinen Zoe ist fromm geworden und hat seine Familie verlassen.
Das Mädchen geht in einen religiösen Kindergarten, wo sie die
Welt des Judentums verstehen muss. Genauso wie Dorothy aus ihrem
Lieblingsfilm Der Zauberer von Oz, möchte Zoe alle Antworten auf ihre
Fragen selbst finden. Doch dafür braucht sie die gleichen roten Schuhe
wie ihre Heldin. Als eines Morgens der Vater ihrer Betreuerin ins Zimmer
kommt, glaubt Zoe, dass es sich bei ihm um G’tt handelt.
After her father became religious and left home, little Zoe is submitted to
a religious kindergarten. She tries to understand the terms of the religious
world which are new to her. Inspired by Dorothy, the protagonist
of her favourite film The Wizard Of Oz, Zoe decides to go and find the
answers herself. For that purpose she needs to have red shoes like her
heroine. „Everybody knows that if you click your heels together three
times, your wish comes true. But what if you don’t have the red shoes?“.
