Nurit Kedar und Eran Riklis (Regisseur von Etz Limon/Lemon Tree), zwei der profiliertesten FilmemacherInnen Israels, begeben sich auf eine Reise entlang von Israels Grenzen und zeigen die Menschen, die in den Nachbarländern leben. Sie greifen die politischen, kulturellen und religiösen Unterschiede von Israelis, LibanesInnen, JordanierInnen, SyrerInnen, ÄgypterInnen und PalsätinenserInnen auf. Manche Anrainer der Grenze zeigen sich friedlich und versöhnlich, andere zornig. Unterschiedliche Persönlichkeiten berichten von ihrem Leben, ihren Wünschen und Hoffnungen, zum Beispiel ein israelischer Soldat, der eine arabische Familie quasi adoptierte und eine drusische Frau, die ihre Familie im Golan verlässt, um einen Libanesen zu heiraten. Filmmakers Nurit Kedar and Eran Riklis (director of Etz Limon/Lemon Tree) teamed up to make that riveting documentary that puts a human face on the neighbors who live alongside Israel's 1,171 kilometers of borders. The film deftly explores the political, cultural and geographical divisions that separate Israelis, Lebanese, Jordanians, Syrians, Egyptians and Palestinians from one another.
