VIENNA JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL This year’s Vienna Jewish Film Festival takes place at the Festival Centre Metro Kino from November 13th to 27th. Screenings are also held at Votivkino (November 14th to 20th) and De France (November 21st to 27th). For the first time, the Festival takes place at Nestroyhof in Vienna’s Second District. The programme is focused on four topics. The restrospective „Jiddisches Kino – die Pioniere Sidney M. Goldin & Joseph Seiden“/“Yiddish Films – pioneers Sidney M. Goldin & Joseph Seiden“ which is curated by Filmarchiv Austria, presents two pioneers of Yiddish films. „Tribute Otto Tausig – Emigration und Rückkehr“ / „Tribute Otto Tausig – Emigration and Return“ is dedicated to actor Otto Tausig. Together with director Jan Schütte, films with Otto Tausig are shown. Fokus Israel und Palästina. „We Too Have No Other Land“: Filmschaffen in Israel und Palästina / Focus Israel and Palestine. „We Too Have No Other Land“: Filmmaking in Israel and Palestine presents films by Israeli and Palestinian directors. Premieren/Premiers presents recent international and Austrian productions. Moreover, screenigns for schools can be organized.
