Following the atrocities of October 7, 2023, the Israeli opposition made a clear demand: Bring them home! Two years later, all surviving hostages are free, yet young Israeli soldiers deployed in Gaza and the West Bank remain at risk. Given the ongoing state of war, we want to examine whether peace is being held hostage by those in political power.

Israelis and Palestinians live in a brutal neighborhood. At the same time, the situation in Europe is escalating. The sense of security is dwindling, and emotions are overshadowing reason. The spiral of conflict, trauma, and emotions has intensified polarization not only in Israel and Palestine. In Europe, too, the debate surrounding Israel and antisemitism has led to hardened fronts since October 7, 2023. We are discussing how to resume a forward-looking dialogue.
